All cards issued by Breisch-Williams are quite rare, but a small subset of somewhat mysterious cards known as Type 2's are exceedingly so. Collectors are not even certain of their origin, and it is assumed they were hand cut from a box or advertising display. To date only eight different subjects have been catalogued, and the last to be discovered was HOFer Rube Waddell. In fact, only two copies of this card are known to exist and the offered one is by far the nicer of the two. Typically, when found at all, Type 2's are poorly cut with little border visible. This crease free example has huge borders, and is graded Authentic because it has been hand cut. A great rarity with excellent eye appeal. This identical card was offered in my May 2008 auction, and has been reconsigned as the buyer is selling off his collection. Rarely does lightning strike twice!
